Trader Joe’s Vegan Goods
Trader Joe’s is always the more affordable way to grocery shop. I do love all their vegan options and how many vegan items they have added over the past few years. I never usually get my produce at Trader Joe’s, but they do have great vegan products.
Vegan Jackfruit cakes (in the frozen section)
I love to heat these up in a pan with olive oil and make my own chipotle dip with Follow Your Heart’s, soy-free Vegenaise and chipotle powder. Cut up an avocado on the side and it’s a perfect and affordable vegan breakfast.
Vegan Banana Bread
I love this bread so much. I’ll have a little slice of this with a bowl of strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries for breakfast.
Peanut Udon Noodle Salad
This is a great quick salad, super fresh, and flavorful. I try not to have this often, since there is soy in it. But, when I do, I like to add more of my own greens, rice vinegar, and the SO GOOD miso mayo spread from Whole Foods to the salad. I love both of the flavors of the miso mayo: original and spicy red pepper.
Plantain Chips
A good salty snack option. These are good dipped in a vegan cheese dip or hummus.
Trader Joe’s Fig Bites with Turkish Figs
These are dangerous! They are Trader Joe’s version of fig newtons. I can eat an entire row. I love these cookies.
Falafel Mix
This premade vegan falafel mix is delicious. You just add water to the mix and make your own falafels in a pan. I use olive oil to cook. I cut up the falafels and put them over my salads.
Super Burrito
I was obsessed with these for a while. It makes a great lunch that is cheap, quick and easy. I would heat the burrito in a pan with olive oil, cut it up into little pieces, and add the chopped-up burrito over a bed of spinach and arugula, sometimes adding chopped red onions and avocado. For a dressing I would use Annie’s Goddess mixed with white wine vinegar.
Scandinavian Swimmers
I hardly ever have candy, but if you are having a craving and want to bring your own vegan candy to a movie, these are my favorite.
